Maria Trusa is an author, entrepreneur, and social activist. She is the founder of Yo Digo No Más. This non-profit organization provides education and support to survivors of sexual abuse, as well as resources to help break the cycle of child sexual violence, in the Latinx community.
In her book Yo Digo No Más, she tells her story of sexual abuse at age 9 and how it changed her life forever. Yo Digo No Mas is also a YouTube show with over 300 thousand views, in which survivors of sexual abuse trauma tell their stories about their healing process.
Last April 30, 2022, Trusa, with the Yo Digo No Mas organization, the Yonkers Mayor's Office, and the School District held the first March Against Sexual Violence, in which more than a thousand people participated. In 2023, they will hold the second march; they expect to have 5 thousand people. She is currently the executive director of Formé Medical Center in White Plains, New York.
